Written after Ashley left our home to join
her mama and daddy in Orlando, Florida.
Our sweet little Ashley Beth, we miss you so,
You made us happier than you will ever know.
You were our sweet little girl with curly red hair,
Dimples in your cheeks, with skin so soft and fair.
Your huge green eyes sparkled like diamonds in the light,
You were such a happy little girl, who bubbled with delight.
You are gone now, but your presence is felt everywhere,
Your absence from our home is so very hard for us to bear.
Your little chair sits empty in the corner now... not used at all,
Our heart skips a beat as we pass your empty room in the hall.
Your favorite toys are now put away, not scattered on the floor,
The house is so quiet, no sound of your cheerful voice anymore.
We were most fortunate to share you for the past three years,
We are now reliving those happy memories with longing tears.
You are now with mama and daddy and live so very far away,
Your time spent with us will be cherished memories everyday.
All we want is for you to be happy with your mom and dad,
But always remember the wonderful times with us that you had.
You made Papa and grandma happier than you will ever know.

Note; Ashley is now grown and married with a little girl of her own.The wonderful
times we shared with her during her lifetime will be embedded in our memories
forever. Ashley stayed with us for long periods of time during her childhood and is
still a delight to have around.
