1944 during WWII: Lois L Caywood sitting by the drain off pond west of our house.

Lila is photo bombing in the back ground. She often did this as a prank. The "Hello" written on the milk shed was painted by Lois. Lila and I often watched the planes make their low practice circle above our farm just yards west of this shed. We had a great view of their activity. I am also sure this shed with the greeting was a land mark for the pilots too. The poles for the corral were cut from the grove on the south east corner of our farm.

Our house sat to the northeast behind my head. When Daddy, Mama and we three kids moved to this place in 1932 it was barren and just part of a field on the east end of Grandpa and Grandma Emma Caywood's property. They planted a grove of Catalpa and Locust trees on the south east corner that provided fence posts and firewood for our house and farm. I lived here until November 1947 when I married Wayne Guffy and moved to a farm east of Byron where I still reside today. Wayne passed away on April 11, 2016 and Mark and Beth moved in with me on April 29th.
