Ever since I was a little girl, going to Hawaii was always a dream for me Our greatest anniversary of them all was spent on a cruise ship at sea.

By way of our daughter Kathy and husband Denny that dream was fulfilled We cruised to each island at night and toured them by day, we were so thrilled.

On Nov 22, 1971, we were to tour Kauai, but Hurricane Iwo stopped us dead The ship pulled from the inlet where we were docked and ran full speed ahead.

The ocean was angry with waves that we rode out, tossing us about to and fro Many passengers and crewmembers were seasick, not us; we were raring to go.

The rest of the island tours went on as planned, in which we enjoyed with delight The foods were delicious; the shows were grand, entertainment ended late at night

The tours were breathtaking with sights we saw pointed out by bus drivers so kind It was hard to leave this laid back style of living and my wonderful dreams behind
